We’re looking for a skilled Guidewire Build Engineer to help drive the reliability, speed, and quality of our software delivery processes. If you’re passionate about CI/CD, automation, and building scalable systems in an Agile environment, this is your opportunity to make an impact.About the RoleAs a Guidewire Build Engineer, you’ll be responsible for building, packaging, automating, and deploying Guidewire applications (such as PolicyCenter) across all environments—from development through production. You’ll play a key role in ensuring dependable CI/CD pipelines, repeatable deployments, and strong SDLC governance, while partnering closely with engineering, QA, and release management teams.What You’ll DoOwn and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines for Guidewire applications, including automated builds, testing, packaging, and deploymentsDevelop and maintain build and deployment automation (scripts, pipelines, and runbooks) to reduce manual effort and increase reliabilityCoordinate releases, including versioning, branching strategies, artifact management, environment readiness, and deployment validationSupport SDLC best practices such as quality gates, dependency management, and standardized promotion across environmentsTroubleshoot build and deployment issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutionsCollaborate with developers to ensure seamless integration into build workflows and adherence to branching strategiesMaintain clear documentation and contribute to ongoing process improvementsPartner with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to meet delivery timelinesWhat You BringRequired Qualifications:3-6 years of experience in build engineering, release engineering, DevOps, or CI/CD-focused rolesSolid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery methodologiesHands-on experience with source control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket) and branching/merging workflowsExperience with CI/CD tools, automated deployments, and artifact repositoriesFamiliarity with tools like Jira and Confluence for tracking and coordinationStrong troubleshooting skills with the ability to document and communicate solutions clearlyExcellent communication and collaboration skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Guidewire or other large-scale Java-based enterprise platformsFamiliarity with automated testing integration and build quality gatesExperience with deployment automation and environment configuration managementInsurance industry experience (Property & Casualty preferred)Guidewire Associate certificationWhat Success Looks Like (First 60-90 Days)CI/CD pipelines are stable, efficient, and increasingly automatedDeployment processes are consistent, reliable, and well-documentedRelease coordination is smooth and transparent across teamsWhy Join Us?Beyond the basics, we’re committed to fostering a workplace that values community involvement, social impact, and employee wellness through a variety of initiatives and programs.
