Exciting Opportunity for ICU Registered Nurse in Frankfort, Kentucky!
Job Description:

• Position: ICU Registered Nurse
• Shift: 19:00 - 07:00
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in a hospital setting, specifically ICU
• Licenses: Must hold a valid KY/Compact nursing license at submission

- Certifications:

- BLS

- ACLS

- Current NIH certification (must be renewed annually)

- Hospital Overview:

• 173-bed acute care facility
• Magnet designation for nursing excellence
• Accredited by The Joint Commission
• Conveniently located in Central Kentucky

- Unit Specifics:

• Number of Beds: 10
• Patient Ratios: 2:1, 3:1
• Staffing: CNCs, RNs, PCTs, Nurse Externs
• Equipment: Philips Telemetry, Baxter pumps, ventilators, glucometers
• Documentation System: Meditech Expanse

- Scheduling Requirements:

• Every other weekend
• Three 12-hour shifts
• Floating Policy: May float to PCU, 3rd floor, or ED

- Patient Experience Requirements:
- At least 2 years of ICU experience

- Desired Skill Set:

• CPap and BiPap management
• Port access
• Therapeutic phlebotomy

- Advanced skills preferred:

• Chest tubes
• NG tubes
• Wound vacs
• Drains
• Post-dialysis assessment
• Central lines
• Blood transfusion
• Ventilator management

- Procedures Performed on Unit:

• Telemetry monitoring
• Paracentesis (physician-led)
• BiPap therapy
• Therapeutic phlebotomy
