Full Time Material Handler / Warehouse (Day shift)

Position Summary: The Material Handler is a functional role that includes distribution order picking, stocking, packaging, and other material handling and inventory control tasks to ensure timely and accurate shipments are made to our customers using various indicators or signals. To assure team continuity across all warehouse operations, this position may also be required to learn, perform, and or be certified to assist within other areas of Warehouse Operations including material control, traffic, or others as assigned.
Interacting with Customer Service, Purchasing, Planning, Operations and Material Control to identify and meet business requirements.
Shift: First shift (6am-8am start) Monday - Friday
Pay: $20hr + bonus*
(Hire Type: Direct, Full-time
Timely picking of required material using forklift and / or other material handling equipment.
Load and unload trucks as required.
Packaging, palletization, and labeling for shipment including dangerous goods, international, and carrier paperwork and or labels – Certifications provided when needed.
Process stock transfers and material requests.
Follow all provided control procedures and policies to complete tasks.
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance for assigned shift.
- Ability to become forklift certified if not currently certified.
Previous forklift experience (counterbalance, stock picker, reach truck) and/or certification.
General proficiencies in Microsoft Office and ERP/WMS.
Experience working in a combined manufacturing/produciton and warehouse environment.
***Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Operation of power tools occasionally (11-30%) and heavy machinery continuously (67-100%)
