Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR
Administer medications and provide care for patients across all acuity levels (ESI 1 through ESI 5)
Perform procedures including wound care, splinting, IV placement, urine collection, and lab draws
Participate in mandatory shift huddles at the start of each shift unless actively providing critical care
Complete required EMTALA training in accordance with department policy
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver timely care for Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, and Trauma patients
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Level II or Level III trauma experience required
Current TNCC, ENPC, or PALS certification required
Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
Demonstrated compassion, sense of urgency, and strong teamwork skills
Minimum of 1 year of emergency department experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) or TCRN certification preferred
CPI certification preferred
Greater than two years of emergency department experience
