Head of Programme Management

The Day Program Supervisor is responsible for the ongoing direction, coordination, and day-to-day operation of the assigned day program site.

The Center for Family Support (CFS) mission is to provide support and assistance to individuals with developmental and related disabilities. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures. Responsibilities may include interviewing and hiring, onboarding and training, scheduling and assigning work, monitoring performance, providing coaching and feedback, recognizing employee contributions, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Assist in promoting community presence, inclusion, skill development, and meaningful participation.

Supervise and support individuals served to promote health, safety, dignity, rights, independence, and maximum participation in program activities.

Ensure that individuals receive supports consistent with their Individual Service Plan (ISP), Person-Centered Plan (PCP), and other applicable plans, including coordination of medication-related procedures, meal planning, and behavior-support strategies in accordance with training, authorization, and agency policy.

Monitor individuals’ health and medical needs, recognize and promptly report any changes, concerns, incidents, or emergencies, and follow applicable notification and documentation procedures.

Assist in developing and implementing appropriate vocational, habilitative, and skill-building goals, and monitor progress toward individual outcomes.

Act as an appropriate role model and promote respectful, person-centered interactions among staff and individuals served.

Participate in assessing individual satisfaction and use feedback to identify opportunities to improve program quality and the experience of individuals served.

Cooperate with Agency and Department staff during any investigations, inquiries, and inspections.

Leadership and staff development Provides effective supervision, coaching, training, and performance management to program staff. Fosters a positive team culture, promotes accountability, and supports employee growth to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Integrity and accountability Demonstrates responsibility in overseeing program operations, staff performance, documentation, and service delivery. Communication and relationship management Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with individuals served, families, staff, community partners, referral sources, and interdisciplinary teams. Program planning and coordination Effectively develops, coordinates, and implements activities, schedules, community opportunities, and vocational experiences. Ensures programs are engaging, goal-oriented, and responsive to the needs of individuals served.

Community engagement and inclusion Promotes meaningful community participation, volunteer opportunities, employment experiences, and inclusive activities that enhance independence, skill development, and community presence.

Health, safety, and risk management Ensures the well-being and safety of individuals served by monitoring health needs, responding appropriately to emergencies, implementing support plans, and maintaining a safe program environment. Compliance and documentation Maintains accurate, timely, and complete records, service documentation, attendance data, and billing-related information. Ensures compliance with agency policies, regulatory requirements, and program standards.

Operational and organizational effectiveness Manages staffing schedules, program resources, workflow, and daily operations efficiently. Prioritizes tasks, addresses coverage needs, and maintains organized systems that support quality services.

Problem-solving and decision-making Identifies challenges, analyzes situations, and implements effective solutions to support individuals, staff, and program operations. Quality improvement and customer focus Evaluates program effectiveness, seeks feedback from individuals served and stakeholders, and implements improvements to enhance service quality, satisfaction, and outcomes.

Adaptability and flexibility Responds effectively to changing program needs, staffing demands, regulatory requirements, and organizational priorities. Serves as a positive role model by promoting dignity, inclusion, and respectful interactions among staff and individuals served.

Attention to detail Monitors program operations, documentation, billing records, schedules, and individual support plans with accuracy and thoroughness. Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field preferred; college coursework and a minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Relevant supervisory or program-management experience preferred.
