We've been involved in some of the most challenging and recognizable electric projects across the U.From the electric plant to the end users, MasTec's experienced managers and crews consistently deliver transmission, distribution, and substation & switchyard services with an unfailing commitment to safety, integrity, and sustainable practices.
As an Estimator, you will play a key role in our power delivery construction projects by preparing accurate estimates and bids, thoroughly reviewing plans and specifications, and analyzing project costs. We are looking for a candidate with an understanding of the transmission line and substation construction industry, expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints, and proficiency with cost estimating software. Generate bid hour and bid sheets for substation and transmission line projects.
Prepare detailed take-offs and staking sheets for accurate project estimation.
Review bid documents to ensure thorough understanding and accuracy.
Perform site visits as needed to collect relevant information and assess project requirements.
Collect and analyze historical cost data to enhance estimates for ongoing and future projects.
Develop estimates to support management in project planning, organization, and scheduling.
Interpret blueprints and other documentation to provide accurate time, cost, material, and labor estimates.
Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Strong background in Microsoft Office applications as well as construction estimating software.
