Key Responsibilities Include

Maintaining productivity and managing multiple work processes efficiently

Handling specimens properly, confirming identification, and using proper accessioning procedures

Recognizing discrepancies, resolving issues, and performing instrument maintenance and troubleshooting

Replenishing reagents, following reporting procedures, and accessing multiple computer applications

Assisting in training new employees and participating in ongoing educational activities

Qualifications And Skills

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution

Successful completion of an ASCP/NAACLS-accredited Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science program or equivalent

Certification or experience in biological, chemical, physical, or clinical laboratory science

Ability to perform in a clinical environment, follow policies, and complete competency exams
