Job Description
Title : Nurse - Neurosurgery
Schedule :

• Shift: 1900-0730
• Floating to other Medical-Surgical areas is required.

Assignment Details :

• Contract Length: 8 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week

Requirements :

• Must be willing to take up to 8 patients when needed.
• Experience with the following diagnoses/procedures is preferred: Stroke, Cancer, Palliative/End-of-Life care, Mental Status Changes, Seizures, Post-Op Craniotomy/Lamina/Shunt (Neurosurgery), Complications of Chemotherapy, management of symptoms, and Chemotherapy Administration.

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Provide nursing care to patients with neurological conditions.
• Administer medications, including chemotherapy, as prescribed.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Perform special procedures such as Bone Marrow Biopsy and EEG/Continuous Monitoring.
• Operate and manage general medical equipment, including IV pumps and PCA pumps.

Compliance / Notes :

• The facility can downstaff travelers to 36/48 hours in a 13-week contract based on their weekly schedule.
• No call requirements.
• At least 4 weekend shifts are required within a 6-week period.
