Physical Therapist

Altru Performance Center 1375 S. The Physical Therapist is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients in compliance with licensure standards. The physical therapist works with an interdisciplinary team to identify patient goals, barriers to discharge and ongoing physical therapy services. The Physical Therapist centers the care around the patient and exercises independent judgement in planning and organizing the plan of care for the patient.

Orients patients, family and/or other appropriate parties to the purpose and procedures of the therapy evaluation and treatment. Obtains and documents appropriately all required and pertinent patient information, including precautions, orders, and initial plan of care.

Selects and performs evaluation and treatment methods which correlates to the age of the patient, the patient's diagnosis, symptoms and physician orders and documents per chart and review standards.

Language Requirements:

This position requires proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to ensure effective communication in the workplace and with patients, families, and team members.
