Front Desk Medical Receptionist - Mental Health

Job Description The Medical Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients at Samsara Healthcare. The receptionist supports clinical operations by managing front-desk workflow, scheduling, patient communications, and administrative tasks while protecting patient confidentiality and maintaining efficiency.

Front Desk & Patient Experience

Greet patients warmly and professionally (in person and by phone)

Create a welcoming, non-judgmental environment for mental health patients

Communicate clearly with patients regarding policies, forms, and expectations

Administrative Duties

Scan, upload, and organize documents

Maintain front-office organization and supplies

Insurance & Billing Support

Support clinic flow and problem-solve in real time

Follow Samsara Healthcare policies, procedures, and values

Participate in training and quality-improvement efforts

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum 1 year experience in a medical or behavioral health setting

Strong computer and data-entry skills

Professional phone and interpersonal skills

Experience in mental health, psychiatry, or integrated care

Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred

Insurance verification and prior authorization experience

Trauma-informed or patient-centered care background

Outpatient mental health and integrated care setting

This role requires reliability, emotional intelligence, and attention to detail. Mental health experience is strongly preferred.
