We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our Medical ICU team for a night shift position. The successful candidate will provide critical care to patients in a high-acuity environment, utilizing advanced monitoring and ventilator management skills. This role requires a proactive approach to patient care and collaboration with a dedicated healthcare team.
Shift Details
Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, and holiday support required
Unit Information
The Medical ICU unit has:

• ICU Patient Ratio: 2:1
• PCU Patient Ratio: 4-5:1
• Staffing: 1 Charge RN and 5 Staff RNs on night shift

Unit Staffing Description
The unit operates with no unit secretaries or Patient Care Technicians. A charge nurse is always available to ensure effective staff management.
Equipment and Documentation
Equipment: Lift equipment, Targeted Temperature Management (TTM), ventilators, IV pumps, etc.
Documentation System: Cerner
Patient Care Requirements
Mandatory bedside shift reports across all hospital areas
Relief charge nurse responsible for nurse leader rounding
Medical ICU experience in a large facility
Comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
Critical care pharmacology (IV sedation, paralytics, vasopressors, etc.)
Advanced hemodynamic monitoring
