Overview Position: Physical Therapist Assistant - Geriatric

Salary: $29.55-31.49 per hour

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, no weekend rotation, flexible schedule

Our healthcare facility is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team and provide high-quality care to our geriatric patients. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients regain movement and manage pain.

Responsibilities Assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients with a variety of physical conditions, focusing on the geriatric population

Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities

Monitor and document patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed

Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for exercises and activities to improve mobility and function

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports

Qualifications Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program

Current state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant

Minimum of 1 year of experience working with geriatric patients

Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles and techniques

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Flexibility in schedule and willingness to adapt to changing patient needs
