Charge Cvor Registered Nurse (Rn)
Location: Wichita, KS
Unit: Open Heart
Number of Beds: 2 heart rooms, with a possible 3rd
Staffing: 4 RNs, 3 CSTs
Patient Ratios: 1:1
Equipment: Various cardiovascular surgical instruments
Electronic Medical Record: Meditech / CPN
Minimum required skills:
At least 1 year of current hospital experience as a CVOR RN
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Active Registered Nurse licensure in Kansas
Experience in a Charge CVOR RN role
Preferred qualifications:
PALS certification
Experience with open heart and cardiovascular procedures
Familiarity with Meditech systems
Typical procedures:
Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR)
Mitral Valve Replacement (MVR)
Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
Work environment:
We are seeking confident, team-oriented professionals with a positive attitude who prioritize patient experience. Strong communication skills with both staff and providers are essential.
On-call requirements:
On-call duties will consist of one weeknight per week and one weekend per month.
