Optometrist
CareSTL Health is seeking an Optometrist to join our team. The Optometrist provides the preventive and therapeutic optometry services for the patients of CareSTL Health.
Provides for the clinical care including but not limited to: routine refraction, test for muscle balance, examination and initial evaluation for ocular injury, slit lamp examination, application of tonometry, routine examination of the fundus; provides after-hours coverage for urgent health care problems for health center patients on an on-call basis.
Participates in the health center's Performance Improvement program and assists in the formulation and implementation of the health center's health care plan especially in optometry protocols.
Practices Evidence Base Medicine and Patient Centered medicine.
Proficient in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) for: clinical documentation, order and review labs and radiology, and clear all the tasks in a timely manner per organizational policies.
Maintain the required optometry licenses, certifications, and credentials that are required.
Must be a graduate of an accredited optometry school
Licensed to practice Optometry in the state of Missouri
Copy of Board Certification as an Optometrist licensed to practice in the state of Missouri.
Must maintain hospital-admitting privileges at appropriate hospitals.
Must meet criteria for Meaningful Use of the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates):
~ Board Certification as an Optometrist licensed to practice in the state of Missouri.

Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. 11 paid holidays per year.
