Medical Surgical (MS) Registered Nurse (RN)

A facility in Saratoga, NY is looking for a Medical Surgical (MS) Registered Nurse (RN). Minimum 3 years of experience and current New York State license required. Must have Basic Life Support (BLS). Every other weekend/holiday. Travel experience preferred. Critical drip and CVA experience a plus, at least one year current experience with telemetry population. NIH Stroke Cert required. Must have EPIC experience. Caregivers will be deployed from the Care Coordinator Center to where they are needed. Will spend time in ER for ER hold patients. Every other weekend/holiday. MUST have EPIC experience.

Unit Details:

CHARTING: EPIC. - Day shift 1:4-5, Night Shift 1:5-6 - 40 beds - The patient population is adult and geriatric - Types of services are provided for the medical/surgical inpatient, with a focus on patients requiring telemetry monitoring, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, critical drugs and critical drips. May also deal with patients in ER hold. The caregiver will be required to take an ECG exam once they arrive at the facility. Study material is provided before start. If the caregiver does not get an 85% or higher or misses critical rhythms, the contract may be terminated. This is a timed, closed book exam. Study guide will be sent from hospital. We STRONGLY encourage review of this before the caregiver starts.
