Fabrication Technician (Machinist) 2nd Shift

Role Summary/Purpose Set up and operate a variety of computer-controlled and mechanically controlled machine tools such as lathes, VTI, milling machines, and grinders to repair or overhaul aviation components using approved technical data and applicable customer and regulatory requirements.

Read blueprints, sketches, or computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) files

Set up and operate manual, automatic, and/or computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools

Align, secure, and adjust cutting tools and workpieces

Turn, mill, drill, shape, and grind machine parts to specifications

Essential Responsibilities Read blueprints, sketches, or computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) files

Set up and operate manual, automatic, and/or computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools

Align, secure, and adjust cutting tools and workpieces

Turn, mill, drill, shape, and grind machine parts to specifications

Qualifications / Skills High school diploma/GED

One to two years related experience or training

Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent resident

Requires the ability to read, write, and speak the English language: interpret and follow written procedures, i.e. Basic math and computer skills

Training on 1st shift, and set schedule to be 2nd shift Monday - Friday 2:30pm-11:00pm with a shift differential

CNC Machinist Technical Certificate desired
