TEGNA, the parent company of 64 television stations in 51 U.S. markets, is hiring anational/company-widePhotojournalist for a unique role in news. Thisbroadcast journalism photojournalistwill capture stories that highlight the best of the human spirit. These storieswillair and streamnationally on TEGNA-owned TV stations and apps. The photojournalist will travel at least one week a month to different communities across the country with a partner who specializes in this kind of reporting.

We are searching for someone who wants to create memorable stories that attract and inspire audiences on every viewing platform.

Use a variety of photography tools to tellgreat stories.

Use Adobe Suite orEdiusvideo editing software.

Use creative production techniques such as graphics and new forms of media (viewer pictures, webcam interviews, etc.) Ability toshoot and edit multiplecamerasinterviews.

Postvideosto the website,YouTubeand other social platforms.

Writeheadlines, abstracts, or social media captions for videos.

Cover breaking, general, sports, feature, investigative, and political news stories as needed.

Reports to Corporate Director of Content, Enterprise.

Associates/BA/BS in journalism, communications, or related field.Related work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree

Knowledge of non-linear editing systems,AdobeSuiteorEdiusexperience a plus

Proven ability to generate creative, engaging, content-driven live shots.

Skills in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and After Effects a plus

Demonstrated news judgment with an understanding of the tenets of professional journalism.
