Mark’s Episcopal School in Houston, Texas is seeking a creative, organized, team player to serve as a Middle School Mathematics Teacher. Focusing on 7th Grade Pre-Algebra and 8th Grade Geometry, our Middle School Mathematics Teacher is an important member of the Middle School faculty and reports directly to the Head of Middle School. Regularly review materials and request new materials as needed.

Keep up to date with developments in subject area, teaching resources, and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities.

Serve as a Middle School Advisor, guiding a small group of students in acquisition of study skills, executive functioning skills, and character development.

Provide materials for substitute teachers.

Assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Middle School.

An understanding of and a passion for teaching the middle school-aged child.

A working knowledge of technology resources in education.

A bachelor’s degree in education or a math-related field, advanced degree preferred.

A copy of your college transcript.
