Paramedic - Full Time (Some Evenings and Weekends Required)

UPMC is hiring a Full-Time, Paramedic to support Elizabethville station. Evening, weekend and holiday availability is required to support the hours of operation. This position qualifies for a $5000.00 sign-on bonus with 2-year work commitment! Reflects a positive attitude to the customer in a high stress environment at all times, with a clear understanding of who the customer is. Provide advanced life support to critically ill or injured patients in adherence with established protocols and standards of care, assessing online medical command or other resources when appropriate. Adheres to the current uniform policy. Performs daily equipment check (vehicle, medications) 6. Ensures safe operation of patient laden stretcher employing appropriate stretcher discipline at all times. Adhering to the drug and alcohol policy at all times. including prescription and/or over the counter medicine use. Completes all official documentation in a timely manner such as payroll, expense reports, orientation forms, etc. Maintains clean patient environment as well as crew quarters 12. Selects and uses personal protective equipment appropriate to the level of the anticipated hazard. Equipment checks Transport log Medication log 18. Collects and promptly processes demographic, medical necessity, and other necessary billing information.
