Shift: Night 3x12-Hour
Hours per Shift: 12 hours
Mandatory competency with phlebotomy and placing IVs.
Knowledge of IV insulin protocols, feeding tube care and management, and blood product administration.
Familiarity with peripheral line care/management, heparin protocols, and managing cardiac drips (no titration).
Experience with PCA, orthopedic trauma, total joint replacements, chest tubes (Emerson/Pleur-Evac), external CPAP/BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), tracheostomy management, and wound care/wound vac.
Ability to float within the scope to meet facility needs.

RNs are expected to manage a patient ratio of 6-7 to 1 on nights, with possible stretches up to 8-10 if staffing issues arise.
Patient care includes individuals diagnosed with osteoarthritis of any joints and fractures of any bones.
Support services available on the unit include IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and a unit secretary.
Experience with the Epic charting system is preferred.
All candidates should be prepared for potential floating between like units.
Weekends are required every other week.
