CNC Machine Operator Job Description
For over 20 years , Apparent Technologies has been a leading engineering and manufacturing company supporting the semiconductor industry. We are currently seeking Full-Time CNC Machine Operators to join our team at our Austin, TX facility.
We are hiring for both Second Shift (2:30 PM 11:30 PM) and Third Shift (Friday to Sunday 7 am-7 pm) positions. Competitive hourly pay is based on experience and qualifications, along with the comprehensive benefits listed below.

Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor CNC mills, lathes, and other CNC equipment to manufacture precision components according to engineering drawings and customer specifications.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and GD&T requirements to ensure accurate part production.
Machine Setup: Load raw materials, fixtures, tooling, and workholding devices while ensuring proper machine setup prior to production.
Program Execution: Load and execute CNC programs, verify machine operations, and make approved offsets or adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and maximize efficiency.
First Article & In-Process Inspection: Perform first-piece inspections and routine in-process measurements using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges, and other inspection tools.
Quality Assurance: Verify finished parts meet customer specifications, identify nonconforming parts, and communicate quality concerns to supervisors or programming personnel.
Machine Monitoring: Continuously monitor machine performance, tool wear, coolant levels, and production output while making adjustments as needed to maintain quality and productivity.
Perform daily machine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and basic troubleshooting to keep equipment operating efficiently.
Safety & Housekeeping: Team Collaboration: Work closely with programmers, machinists, quality inspectors, engineering, and production leadership to improve processes and support on-time delivery.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years operating CNC machining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or degree in Precision Machining, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work throughout an entire shift
Ability to work safely around moving machinery while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
