Chief Estimator for a General Contractor involved in Bridge Repair & Construction, Marine Construction and Wastewater Treatment Facilities
About Us: SRB is a leading contractor in the bridge rehabilitation and marine construction industries. We have been in operation for 12 years and have successfully completed hundreds of complex projects across the Country.
Position Overview: The Chief Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of projects. You will oversee the estimating team, collaborate with project managers and clients, and ensure that all bids align with company standards and profitability goals.
The initial task of the Chief Estimator will be to develop estimates so Southern Road & Bridge can bid a minimum of 300 projects annually. This position manage two estimators and one estimating assistant.
Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for upcoming projects.
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other project documentation.
Review and evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals.
Maintain and grow list of qualified subcontractors and vendors.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as an estimator in bridge, marine or wastewater.
Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and costs.
Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., The chance to work on exciting projects across the United States.
