Registered Nurse - Labor and DeliveryThe Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient's needs.Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.Initiates assessment based on the patient's problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.Manages care of patients.Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Required Skills & Experience:One (1)+ year of experience in related specialty.Preferred Skills & Experience:N/A2+ years of experience with Labor and delivery is required.4+ years of experience with Labor and delivery is preferred.Required Hard skills:phlebotomy - IV insertionEFM, Vaginal exams, circulating in OR for c-section, instrumental delivery assistanceRequired Education:ASN.Advanced AWHONN or EFM.Preferred Education:BSN Preferred.Required Certifications & Licensure:BLS-AHANJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.NRPPreferred Certifications & Licensure:ACLSLanguages: English (Read, Write, Speak)Schedule Notes:Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and DeliveryLocation/Facility Name: Hackensack University Medical CenterShift: Day shiftHours Per Week: 36Weekend Requirement: every other weekendHoliday Requirement: noOn-Call Requirement: NoFloat Requirement: NoRequired Years of Experience: Greater than 2 in labor and deliveryPreferred Years of Experience: greater than 4 years in labor and deliveryRequired Hard Skills: phlebotomy - IV insertion EFM, Vaginal exams, circulating in OR for c-section, instrumental delivery assistanceRequired Soft Skills: Required Licenses & Certifications: BLS - ACLS - NRP - EFMScrub Color: We provide scrubs
