Job Summary

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Location not specified. This position involves providing specialized nursing care to neonates, infants, and pediatric patients with a range of complex health issues, including prematurity, cardiac defects, and feeding issues. The role requires flexibility to work alternating day and night shifts in a dynamic clinical environment.

Job Details

Required Qualifications: Active RN license in Maryland or a Compact license, BLS certification, CPI certification, 2+ years of healthcare experience, and 2 years of neonatal intensive care experience.

Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities include administering blood and blood products, managing BiPAP/CPAP, caring for and managing ports and central lines, performing neonatal feeding, and managing ventilator and tracheostomy care.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with patient charting systems such as Meditech, and prior community hospital or LTAC experience.

Additional Information: Floating within the scope of practice may be required; candidate must be comfortable with neonatal, infant, and pediatric patient populations, including those with specialized medical equipment.

Submittal requirements: Candidates must accept without an interview, and compliance must be completed within 5 days prior to start.
