Manufacturing Engineer

Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer (ME) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency, quality, and sustainability of production processes within the site. By leveraging their technical expertise, they optimize manufacturing systems, support new product introduction (NPI), and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The ME is a key partner and ensures that they prioritize the goals of their assigned area, focusing on maximizing customer value.

As the Manufacturing Engineer your work will include:

Analyzing existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and implement cost‑effective solutions.

Conducting root cause analysis and corrective action implementation to resolve production issues.

Conducting time studies and establish general manufacturing targets and routings.

Providing technical support to the production team to ensure smooth operations.

Troubleshooting equipment and process issues, ensuring minimal downtime.

Leading the design and development of manufacturing processes for new products.

Conducting the prototyping, testing, and validation of production systems for NPIs.

Ensuring manufacturing processes meet quality standards and compliance requirements.

Implementing quality control measures to monitor and improve product consistency.

Working closely with the Quality Assurance team to implement preventive measures.

Identifying, evaluating, and implementing new manufacturing technologies and equipment.

Developing preventive maintenance schedules and ensure equipment reliability.

Managing the installation and commissioning of new machinery.

Identifying and mitigating the risks associated with manufacturing processes and equipment.

Driving sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact.

Exemplifying a safety‑first mindset, ensuring that policies and standards are applied.

Working closely with the procurement, supply chain, and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability.

Analyze material supply options and support sourcing initiatives. buy process and provide valuable analysis where necessary.

Collaborating with sales and customer service to address client‑specific manufacturing requirements.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience

4‑6 years of manufacturing engineering experience.

Experience with World Class Manufacturing and working with a Lean Operating Model.

Able to solve complicated problems for determining areas where processes need improvement.

Able to read engineering drawings including weld symbols and GD&T.

Strong knowledge of varying manufacturing concepts.

Proficient in current computer software: MS Applications Word, Excel, Outlook and an understanding of ERP systems, Syteline experience a plus.

Work experience with Solidworks, Auto CAD.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ensuring error‑free documents and effective interaction with internal and external contacts.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and carrying out assigned projects with minimal supervision.
