Attorney - associate - law

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Class Action Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of experience to join its class action group in Fargo, ND. The attorney will manage a complex caseload of federal and state cases related to unfair business practices, consumer protection, and privacy statutes.

Duties Handle state and federal class action cases in various stages.

Investigate, draft, and file litigation documents, including pleadings and motions.

Guide clients through the case process.

Interact with expert witnesses and prepare expert reports and affidavits.

Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances.

Requirements Law degree from an accredited law school.

Active member in good standing with the State Bar Association.

Minimum 2 years of class action experience, including trial and deposition experience.

Exceptional research skills, particularly with Westlaw.

Clerkship experience preferred.

Law review experience preferred.

Excellent client service and communication skills.

Self-starter driven by long-term career goals.

Superior writing and oral advocacy skills with attention to detail.

Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications Active State Bar membership.

Skills Strong research and analytical skills.

Effective communication and client service abilities.

Proficient in legal writing and oral advocacy.
