Cardiology, Full Time Cardiology Physician

The Inova Schar Heart and Vascular is seeking a board certified/eligible Non-Invasive Cardiologist

Inova Schar Heart and Vascular Eastern Region seeks an experienced, board certified/eligible, non-invasive cardiologist to work clinically full-time at its outpatient office in our Eastern Region with inpatient rounding at Inova Alexandria Hospital and Inova Mount Vernon Hospital. This physician will further develop a growing clinical practice that drives volume for Inova’s cardiac diagnostic and imaging center and will take call at both locations.

Develop, maintain, and grow a non-invasive cardiology clinical practice.

Perform inpatient and outpatient cardiac imaging, including echocardiography and nuclear studies.

Provide inpatient coverage (rounding, CCU, echo) at Alexandria and Mount Vernon Hospitals.

Take call approximately 10 weekends per year and 2–3 weeknight coverages per month.

Participate in research and education through the Cardiology Fellowship Program.

Collaborate with applied physician assistant support.

Graduate of an accredited Medical Doctorate Program (MD/DO).

Board Certification: Must be board certified or board eligible in Cardiology.

Certification: Must obtain advanced certification in the applicable modality within one year of training; Currently hold or have the ability to obtain an unrestricted VA medical licensure.
