Compensation: $120,000 – $150,000

What You Will Do

In this role, you will perform essential engineering functions including:

Design and develop electrical power service and distribution systems, branch circuits, indoor/outdoor lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm systems, low‑voltage infrastructure, audio/visual systems, and specialty electrical/control systems required to produce detailed construction documents (drawings and specifications).

Advise clients on electrical system options to meet performance, safety, and compliance requirements.

Serve as the electrical design lead, providing direction to Drafters/Designers and Apprentice‑level Engineers to meet deadlines and project expectations.

Conduct field inspections to validate existing site conditions and establish project requirements.

Collaborate closely with internal and external design teams to ensure seamless project coordination.

Resolve complex engineering challenges with minimal oversight during both design and construction phases.

Guide construction teams to ensure accurate implementation of the full design intent.

Perform project management tasks related to the electrical discipline, including budget review, schedule updates, and developing project communication protocols, standards, and documentation.

Required Capabilities & Credentials

• B.S.E.E. from an accredited university or equivalent experience required; Professional Engineer (PE) preferred .
• 7+ years of electrical engineering design experience—preferably involving building power, lighting, and systems for commercial, institutional, and healthcare facilities.
• Hands-on experience with equipment selection and systems troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction practices, NFPA standards, and the National Electric Code (NEC) .
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, OneNote, Outlook, Word).
• Experience using Bluebeam and industry tools such as SKM, Aspen, and/or EasyPower .
• Ability to read and interpret both 2D and 3D drawings accurately.
