Phlebotomist PositionThis is an available Phlebotomist position located in Yakima, WA. Schedule: 8-5 Mon to Fri or work either 10 or 10:30AM to 7PM – schedule is being finalized. Projected duration: 3 months + potential for perm. Job code: CVDJP00035314.Benefits are included with this position.Experience with pediatrics and geriatrics required.The primary role of a Phlebotomist is to assist with various tasks, troubleshoot, provide training, and offer recommendations for workflow improvement.Position Responsibilities: Previous experience with blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, data recording, decontamination, patient information updates, etc. Properly explains venipuncture and other specimen collection processes, demonstrates techniques using various needles, matches requisition forms to specimen tubes, labels and stores specimens, packages specimens for transport, complies with regulations, attends trainings, and responds to inquiries.Minimum Qualifications: Valid Phlebotomy certification, at least 6 months of venipuncture experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, High School Diploma or GED, and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
