Description:
The position requires an RN specialized in pediatrics.
The shift is 3x12 hours during the day.
Candidates with at least 1 year of pediatric nursing experience are encouraged to apply.
First-timers are accepted if the experience requirements are met.
Weekend availability is required, including 2 Fridays, 2 Saturdays, and 2 Sundays in a 6-week period.
One on-call shift is also needed per 6-week period.
Floating to the NICU and providing newborn care on the postpartum unit may be required.
The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:3.
Familiarity with the Epic charting system is necessary.
Travel experience is not required, but preferred.
The unit cares for neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatric patients.
Daily census and number of visits per day is managed within the unit.
The patient demographic includes those with various respiratory illnesses among other diagnoses.
Special procedures within the unit may include IV starts, lab draws, and catheterization.
Support services available include physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
