Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is seeking qualified, motivated Registered Nurses to join our Emergency Department team. As a Magnet-recognized hospital, we are committed to high-quality patient care, safety, and teamwork. The ED RN provides competent nursing care in a fast-paced, 29-bed environment (including six fast-track beds) to patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, managing a wide range of acute and emergent conditions.

Patient Assessment & Care: Perform thorough assessments, develop personalized care plans, and deliver direct nursing care to ED patients.

Critical Thinking: Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, and evaluate patient care.

Collaboration: Work closely with board-certified emergency physicians and a multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient and compassionate care.

Accurately document all care in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Specialty Duties: Perform triaging, trauma care, and support for violence survivors (if trained).

Registered Nurse Diploma, ADN, BSN, or MSN required.

Valid RN License to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia (or compact state).
