Westgate Resorts is seeking an HR Generalist – Employee Relations in Ocoee, FL to support critical human resources functions across multiple resort properties. This full-time, on-site HR Generalist role is hiring immediately and is ideal for a human resources professional experienced in employee relations, HR compliance, and workplace investigations within a fast-paced hospitality environment.
The ideal candidate for this Human Resources Generalist role brings strong problem-solving skills, a high level of professionalism, and the ability to guide leaders through complex HR situations. Partner with managers to resolve complex employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution
Conduct and lead HR investigations from intake through resolution, ensuring proper documentation and compliance
Respond to regulatory inquiries from agencies such as the EEOC and Department of Labor
Interpret and apply employment laws including FMLA, FLSA, ADA, and EEO, advising leadership on compliance and risk mitigation
Collaborate with payroll, benefits, and HR teams to support employee lifecycle processes and operational workflows
Support administration and resolution of workers’ compensation claims
Maintain accurate HR documentation and ensure compliance with recordkeeping standards
Represent the company in unemployment claims and hearings
Plan and support employee engagement initiatives, including wellness events and company programs
Contribute to HR initiatives such as I-9 audits, policy updates, and compliance reviews
Design and deliver training programs for employees and leadership on HR policies and performance management
Support annual performance review processes and organizational development efforts
Provide coaching on performance management, employee engagement, and career development
Assist with day-to-day HR operations and administrative support

2–5 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist or HR Business Partner role
~ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance (FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEO)
Experience conducting employee relations investigations and conflict resolution
Proficiency in HRIS systems (ADP preferred) and Microsoft Office
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage confidential information
