Registered Nurse - OR Surgery
Location
Los Alamos, NM
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Shift: 06:30-15:00, with weekend hours required every other week or as needed. On-call requirements are between 10-11 days per month, increasing to 15-16 days per month if staffing is low.
Job Description
The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality surgical care in the OR. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment, assisting in surgical procedures, and monitoring patients during their perioperative phase.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Monitor vital signs and patient condition throughout the surgical process.
Assist with the maintenance of surgical instruments and supplies.
Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Active RN license in New Mexico.
ACLS, BLS, PALS, and HWC certifications are required.
A minimum of 2 years of OR experience is preferred.
Travel experience is a plus, but not required.
