Connected to the newly expanded Baird Center, Hilton Milwaukee is Milwaukee's largest hotel. Built in 1927 as the Schroeder Hotel, Hilton Milwaukee offers 729 well-appointed guest rooms and over 34,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Set up and stock the bar daily, including beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce.

Maintain stock, cut, and store fresh garnishes, juices, and perishables to ensure quality.

Understand drink menu, wine list, ingredients, preparation, and service.

Efficiently use POS and manage bar inventory.

Handle cash transactions, verify charges, and process guest checks.

Must adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to ensure all laws are being followed.

Other duties as assigned such as assisting security with disorderly guests and acting as a server when guests want to be served in the bar area.

At least two years of bartending or bar service experience in a fine dining outlet.

Must be available to work on Fridays and Saturdays.

Excellent communication skills and familiarity with the hospitality industry.

Must have a high level of knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer. with one hand and stand/work in confined spaces for long periods.

Basic math skills for cash register operations, making change, totaling checks, and understanding portion sizes.

Proficient in English for guest communication and order taking; basic writing skills for requisitions, balance sheets, and vouchers.

Manual dexterity for garnishes, handling glassware and bottles, scooping ice, mixing drinks, and retrieving stock.
