Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU travel position requiring 2 years of critical care experience and ventilator/line management skills.
Details

• Work in a 16-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
• 2:1 nurse to patient ratio with a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) on each shift
• Uses GE monitors, EV1000, Hemispheres, CRRT (NextStage), Impella, Swan Ganz, arterial lines, chest tubes, and ventilators
• Performs hemodynamic monitoring, Swan Ganz management, arterial line care, and chest tube management
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Required to work 2 weekend shifts biweekly
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required to Medical ICU, Neuro Surgical ICU, or Cardiac PCU

Requirements
Active RN license (TX or Compact) required
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of critical care experience (adult ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or any critical care specialty)
Ventilator management experience required
Arterial line, central line, and chest tube management skills required
CVICU experience, CABG recovery, CRRT, and Impella experience preferred
Meditech EMR experience preferred
BSN and CCRN preferred
Additional Information
Collaborates within a team-oriented, collaborative care environment
Royal blue scrubs required
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
No gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
