Associate Attorney – Commercial Finance

Advert Code: MLFS 146 A nationally recognized finance practice is seeking a junior Commercial Finance Associate (2–3 years’ experience) to join its growing transactional team. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career attorneys to gain hands‑on experience working on sophisticated lending transactions while developing their skills within a collaborative and supportive environment.

The role offers direct exposure to complex financing matters and meaningful involvement in transactions representing lenders and borrowers across a variety of credit structures.

You will work closely with experienced attorneys on a wide range of commercial finance matters involving institutional lenders, financial institutions, and corporate borrowers. Associates in this practice are actively involved in the structuring, negotiation, and closing of lending transactions, providing a strong foundation in secured finance and commercial lending.

This role offers substantial training, mentorship, and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as your experience grows.

Assist with commercial lending transactions, including asset-based and cash flow financing arrangements.

Support real estate‑backed financing transactions and other secured lending structures.

Draft and review key financing documentation including loan agreements, security agreements, and related collateral documents.

Work collaboratively with attorneys and clients to ensure efficient deal execution.

2–3 years of experience in commercial finance, banking, or secured lending within a sophisticated law firm environment.

JD required and prior experience working in a law firm.

Familiarity with asset-based lending, real estate finance, or cash flow loans.

Strong academic credentials and excellent drafting skills.
