Department: Cafeteria

Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Flex

Pay: $19.10 - $24.83 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant’s relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary

Cooks and prepares food for distribution to patients, the cafeteria, and catering services.

Responsibilities

Reviews menu and special orders to determine types and quantities of food items to be prepared.

Follows standardized recipes in preparation of all foods. Plans cooking schedule with supervisor and/or exec chef to ensure food will be ready at specified times.

Confers with supervisor and/or exec chef regarding modified diet preparation and use of leftovers.

Adheres to all applicable guidelines regarding the storage, handling and preparation of food as well as sanitation and maintenance of work area.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements

Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED, or in lieu of HS/GED, satisfactory completion of UCHealth‑administered basic competency test is required.

Minimum Experience: 1 year of experience.
