Human Resources Rep - Recruitment

Human Resources Assistant opening for our growing client in Martinsville, VA! This is a contract opportunity1st shift schedule3-4 days a week/ 8 hour days$16-18/hr
RESPONSIBILITIES Post available positions on the company bulletin boards as requested by the HR Rep. Remove job postings in a timely manner and verify the correct hire date for each job bidder.
Maintain a supply of printed applications in the office lobby and collect the completed applications throughout the day. Maintain an alphabetical file of completed paper applications.
Coordinate with hiring manager to set up interviews of prospective employees as directly by the HR Rep.
Assist with new hire orientation, benefits meetings, communication and translation.
Create and maintain personnel record for all hourly associates. File all employee documentations and changes in a timely manner.
Assist Safety Manager with maintaining safety and health training files.
Assist with the preparation of all training materials.
Assist employees with inquiries connecting them to the proper department, manager or website.
Provide support to the HR Manager, HR Rep. Safety Manager and Plant Management as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS OR EDUCATION 2 to 4 years of experience in a clerical position.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exhibit can-do attitude, strong interpersonal skills, including good relationship-building skills, and the ability to communicate with all levels of employees.
Possess and maintain excellent time management, strong analytic and organization and prioritization skills, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multi-task and work on tight timelines.
Ability to work in a fast paced, pressured environment.
