Manufacturing Production Reliability Engineering

Responsible for Quality & Reliability Engineering activities supporting the manufacture of Teledyne FLIR Cooled and Uncooled Camera Systems.
Contributes to product development as a sustaining team member supporting Teledyne FLIR's Cooled and Uncooled Camera Systems.
Conducts product and process qualification planning & testing, life testing and reporting for new designs and processes.
Responsible for fielded product failure analysis, corrective actions and reporting.
Coordinates containment and corrective action for non-conforming material.
Leads regular quality status and improvement activities.
Generates quality procedures and work instructions as needed.
Travels as required to suppliers, customers and/or outside labs as needed.
Member of cross-functional Team supporting activities with Systems Engineering, Customer Service, Production, Process/Manufacturing Engineering, Customers, Suppliers, Executive Leadership
Strong Communication Skills are necessary when creating proposals and communicating in writing, in such a manner, that it is easy to understand and interpret what and why information is being communicated. Displaying strong personal Initiative and motivation is vital to achieve desired performance results with projects that support the organization.
Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
Must be able to travel up to 10%.
Must be able to communicate orally and in writing using the English language.
BS in Engineering or Technical discipline required.
Two years working as a Quality, Reliability or Process/Manufacturing Engineer, preferably in the electromechanical field.
Six-Sigma training and / or certification preferred.
Lean manufacturing knowledge preferred.

Problem solving methodology and failure analysis tools

Root cause analysis
Measurement system analysis (Gauge R&R)
Supplier quality development
Optical and mechanical inspection skills
Electro-mechanical shaker systems and environmental chambers
MS Office applications (must be proficient with Excel)
Statistical and reliability software applications
