Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry unit position requiring a minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele experience and an active WV or compact RN license.
Details

Inpatient telemetry unit in a hospital setting
Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 (may fluctuate with census)
Meditech EMR
Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, on a rotating 36/48-hour schedule (alternating 3x12 and 4x12 weeks)
Every other weekend required
Floating required within scope of practice
Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
Requirements

Active WV or compact RN license required and must be in hand
Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Minimum 2 years of current Med/Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele) experience required
Valid Driver's License with address matching permanent address required for consideration
Two professional references required for consideration: at least one Charge Nurse or higher and one supervisor, both completed within the last year
Middle name (or confirmed absence of one) required for consideration
Additional Information

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
Orientation is held on a bi-weekly basis
Travelers who have worked within the system for one year must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
Up to 7 days of RTO may be considered; RTO must be submitted upfront with no changes accepted after submission
Must be willing to work either a major or minor holiday each contract
Travel pairs are accepted on a limited basis; pairs will not be placed on the same shift or unit
Any license or background check issues must be disclosed upfront
