3M Corporate Strategy is a high-impact, highly visible team that works on strategic initiatives that cut across 3M’s wide variety of businesses and geographies. The group leads efforts related to enterprise strategy, portfolio management, resource allocation, M&A strategy, and manages the annual strategic planning process. Corporate strategists are senior professionals, working with business executives and leaders on the company’s highest priority initiatives, with an emphasis placed on value creation through growth.

As the Manager, Corporate Strategy, you will support defining the global enterprise strategy aimed at fostering growth and innovation. Lead corporate portfolio management projects focused on value creation and growth through resource allocation, business creation, and M&A

Support the corporate strategic planning process, including executive and Board-level strategy formulation, business case development and deck creation

Track industry and competitive trends, and develop business outlook and forecasts

Develop rigorous, fact-based, quantitative analysis to support recommendations

Ensure strategic and financial soundness and alignment for any recommendations

Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)

Five (5) years of strategy experience in a private, public, government, or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

Demonstrated leadership ability – proven track record of leading high impact projects and cross-functional teams

Ability to independently lead and manage projects with multiple work streams, with proven leadership success over a wide variety of functional business problems

Hands-on, self-starter, team-oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible

Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, including solid understanding of financial and statistical analysis

Significant experience with MS PowerPoint and Excel

Tableau) is a plus

Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Maplewood, MN at least 4 days per week (Monday - Thursday)
