Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Austin, Texas.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Telemetry\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/04/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 4, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 4\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry unit position requiring cardiac-trained expertise and a willingness to precept new staff.Details\n \n Work on a 30-bed Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry unit within a hospital setting\n Care for patients with significant cardiac disease history, including chest pain, CHF, advanced heart failure, and syncope\n Support patients undergoing echocardiograms, stress tests, and diagnostic/interventional heart catheterization\n Care for patients undergoing specialized cardiac procedures such as Mitraclip, Watchman, Tykosyn initiation, and TAVR\n Unit may overflow to general med/surg or non-cardiac patients as needed\n Day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15\n 13-week assignment length\n Priority floating to one of five acute care med/surg units typically staffed at 5:1 ratios\n Requirements\n \n Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand\n Current BLS and ACLS certification through AHA\n Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required\n Cardiac telemetry experience strongly preferred\n Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start\n Must provide a US Social Security Number and US home address\n Additional Information\n \n Deliver direct patient care within a cardiac telemetry unit undergoing staffing reimagination with all-new core FTEs\n Expected to help precept and train new hires, including RN Residents, due to high engagement in unit rebuilding efforts\n Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced pay rate depending on facility location\n Travelers are encouraged to discuss extension opportunities with their manager approximately 45 days before assignment end date\n First-time travelers may be considered depending on cardiac telemetry experience\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-750275.
