Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking full-time Registered Nurses to join our Crisis team. The Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) is a 24-hour, 16-bed facility providing intensive behavioral health crisis intervention for up to five days. Our multidisciplinary team includes Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners, RNs, LPNs, Medical Assistants, Therapists, Case Managers, Milieu Counselors, and Peer Support Specialists. The Registered Nurse will deliver exceptional clinical care for individuals experiencing mental health and substance use crises, with a focus on person-centered, compassionate treatment. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, collaborative, and experienced in psychiatric nursing, with excellent de-escalation skills, sound clinical judgment, and an active RN license in good standing, along with current BLS certification.

Shift Options Include:
NOC Shifts: 6:30 PM 7:00 AM and 8:30 PM 9:00 AM
Full-Time Nurses: Choose 2 (two) 12-hour shifts per week (0.6 FTE)
Weekend Coverage: Minimum of 2 weekend shifts per month
Holiday Coverage: Participate in a minimum of 24 holiday shifts per year

Shift Differential Pay. The Day weekend shift differential is paid from 7 am to 3 pm on Saturdays and Sundays only; the Swing shift differential is paid from 3 pm to 11 pm; and the Overnight shift differential is paid from 11 pm - 7 am
Day Weekend (Sat, Sun): $2.50
Overnight Weekday (Monday - Thursday): $4.25/hour
Overnight Weekend (Friday, Saturday & Sunday): $6.25/hour
Swing Weekday (Mon-Thurs): $2.75/hour
Swing Weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun): $4.25/hour
Bilingual Language Differential Pay. Employees who successfully pass a language assessment are eligible to receive bilingual differential pay. This differential is provided as a fixed amount of $1,800 per calendar year, paid on a bi-weekly basis across 26 pay periods, and prorated based on hire date and full-time equivalency (FTE). Eligibility and payment are subject to the language requirements of the position and the employee's demonstrated proficiency in the language.
Support the medical and clinical functions of the medical team (completing all medical orders and communicating vital patient care information to the physician/prescriber).
This may include testing for COVID-19.
Complete nursing assessments of clients upon admission.
Document clear and concise notes regarding patients' condition, reaction to medication, and treatments in EMR.
Perform nursing interventions within the scope of practice, congruent with licensing.
Contribute to the development of the treatment planning process as it relates to medical needs and concerns.
Provide medical case management and other clinical interventions, as appropriate.
Act as liaison to outside agencies and providers to ensure continuity of care for patients.
Provide assistance in crisis intervention, as needed.
Complete required education and training in a timely manner.
Provide information to credentialing, payroll, etc. Attend meetings and training as needed.
Associate's in Nursing required.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
Active State of Colorado Registered Nursing License.
Demonstrated ability in nursing assessment, including evaluation and interpretation of medical and behavioral health information.
Knowledge and familiarity with nursing care management concepts and psychotropic medications.
Ability to learn and operate various software programs, including Word, Excel, and web-based systems.
Required Vaccination and TB Test.
