We are looking to hire an outpatient RN for our MercyOne Des Moines Endoscopy.

As an outpatient RN at MercyOne, you will contribute to the success of the clinic by providing patient care, through all phases of the Endoscopy experience; Provides patient care activities to patients of diverse ages.

Office Hours: M-F 7:00a -5:00p

No Weekends No Holidays

May include doing pre-procedure phone calls to patients and/or physician offices to obtain information.

Demonstrates the ability to organize work and enhance the safety and quality of patient care, service and treatment.

Prepares for cases in an efficient manner, anticipating needs of the patient and physician.

Provides a safe environment for customers: patient, family, physicians and staff.

Collects and analyzes data and assesses patient in developing nursing diagnosis / plan of care.

Communicates effectively with the patient, staff, physicians, families, and other health care team members.

Maintains knowledge of equipment set-up and function.

Ongoing physiological assessment through all phases of the Endoscopy experience.

Utilize computer software for electronic medical record documentation (EMR).

Actively assists physicians in a large variety of endoscopy procedures.

Possession of a current or compact state license as a registered nurse issued/defined by the State of Iowa.

Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers

Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft office products. Helpful if familiar with ProVation RN & MD.

Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.

Ability to read, write and speak English language.
