Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical/Surgical Cardiovascular Stepdown/Intermediate Care position in Wichita, KS, requiring at least 2 years of experience and a valid KS or compact RN license.
Details

• Work on a 38-bed Medical/Surgical Cardiovascular Stepdown/Intermediate Care unit
• No drip titrations performed on this unit
• Lab team handles blood specimen collection; IV team available for additional support, though RNs are expected to start IVs
• No EKG performance or sheath discontinuation required
• Telemetry with remote monitoring
• Cerner OneChart EMR in use
• Day shift: 07:00–19:30
• 13-week contract

Active KS or compact RN license required
BLS certification required; must be AHA-issued
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
IV insertion skills required
Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
Current primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start
Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
Two professional references required for consideration
Skills checklist required for consideration
Additional Information

NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred but not required
MOAB De-Escalation Training preferred but not required
Ceil blue scrubs required
Candidates must commit to working both July 4th and Labor Day
Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a reduced pay rate based on proximity to the facility
COVID vaccination is not required by this facility
