Dietitian - Nutrition Therapy

Summary of Position The Staff Registered Dietitian (RD) provides personalized nutrition plans and medical nutrition therapy to individuals seeking care through telemedicine. The RD administers nutrition visits on the Teladoc platform, monitoring progress and adjusting plans as needed. This role is a 1099 contract position that requires the provider to work independently, set their own schedule, and use expertise to help clients thrive.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Patient-facing support (85%) Provide virtual services (audio and video) to analyze patients' health status, goals, and dietary restrictions.

Track dietary intake and progress and provide education on maintaining a balanced diet while delivering superb clinical care.

Use Teladoc-approved resources for member-facing support documents and programs.

Refer to other specialists as needed and demonstrate knowledge of internal and external services available to members.

Collaborate with internal and external customers to assure members receive optimal care.

Comply with all Teladoc policies, procedures, protocols, and quality assurance standards.

Maintain strict adherence to confidentiality and HIPAA compliance regulations.

Case documentation (10%) Complete thorough and accurate record-keeping within 24 hours of member visit.

Other duties as assigned (5%) Perform other responsibilities as directed, with time spent subject to business needs.

Required Qualifications U.S.-based dietitian with an active, unrestricted Registered Dietitian (RD) credential in at least one state. Candidates must hold licensure in an additional state if licensed in Arizona, California, Colorado, Michigan, New Jersey, or Virginia.

Licensed Dietitian (LD) or Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN).

Master’s degree in science or related health specialty unless RD/RDN license obtained prior to January 1, 2024.

Minimum 2 years of independent licensed RD/RDN experience.

Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills and documentation using the ADIME process.

Ability to build rapport quickly in a virtual visit platform.

Availability of at least 10 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications Licensure in one or more of the following states: Alaska, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, or Wyoming. These qualifications are desirable but not required.

Compensation Up to $90 per hour.
