As part of the Software Engineering Space and Air Center team, you will be an integral part of helping Raytheon further our vision to be the global leader in core and next-generation defense and security solutions. Raytheon has an opportunity for a Senior Platform Engineer with well-rounded Infrastructure Platform Engineering expertise to join an agile product team. The Ideal candidate will have experience in both traditional infrastructure design, provisioning, and deployment of compute, storage, and networking resources and emerging modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation technologies.
The Senior Platform Engineer would be involved with development, implementation of traditional compute, network, storage systems and related deployments, as well as support improving the program platform's over-arching design through new emerging technologies. You will leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to assist with deployment, implementation, modernization, and support of IAC solutions
Write Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in support of transitioning a system that is tightly coupled to the underlying infrastructure to a modern platform infrastructure
You will assist with design, architecture, development, and support of build/test pipelines and optimizing integration for performance and scalability across physical or virtualized based computing environments
You will support software tool customization and automation including deployment of templates, dashboards, and scripts to support program needs utilizing Ansible Playbooks Collaborate with DT, GSS Security, software and system engineers to design and implement development and mission solutions
Integrate security and compliance into the platform with services such as encryption and access management
Provide operational support for the platform including SIL spaces
applicants must be in the area or willing to relocate to it.
Infrastructure automation and configuration management experience using tools such as Terraform and Ansible, including Linux/Windows operating systems and virtualization technologies.
Experience with software deployment, integration, and Agile development methodologies such as Scrum and SAFe.
S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CI/CD Pipelines tools (E.g. Background in COTS/FOSS product installation, configuration, and integration
Experience designing, implementing, and integrating platform infrastructure services using infrastructure as code (IaC)
Multi-disciplined infrastructure experience and expertise (Server, Storage, Network Hardware)
Experience with programming languages (E.g. Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go).
Experience troubleshooting performance, reliability, and availability issues across Linux/Windows based platforms and infrastructure services

Clearance Information: This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS) , an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
