Pharmacist, Pharmacy, Full Time, Flex Shifts
STAR PHARMACY
Job Description STAR Long Term Care Pharmacy is a closed door pharmacy located in El Cajon, CA. We currently service Skilled nursing facilities. RPH must have experience in LTC Pharmacy. RPH will be required to run the day to day operations and perform the duties of a PIC as per requirements of the BOP. We are looking for a Pharmacist with a flexible schedule and whom is eager to work in a small family environment. Oversee the accurate preparation of medications for final dispensing to the patient, including order entry, filling, and toting.
Review filled blister cards and unit dose strips to ensure prescriptions are filled correctly.
Verify the legality and pharmaceutical feasibility of dispensing a drug based on patients' allergies, drug interactions, frequency of refills, etc.
Transfer prescriptions to and from other pharmacies as needed.
Dose IV medications per patient specific data.
Excellent Computer skills
Excellent customer service skills
Software experience preferred yet not required (Framework, DocuTrack)
Prior pharmacy experience preferred
