Maintenance Worker
Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Passes on instructions received from a supervisor to other workers and gets the job started.
Works along with other employees and sets the pace for the task.
Demonstrates proper work methods.
Assures that needed plans, blueprints, materials, and tools are available.
Obtains needed information or decisions from supervisors on problems that arise while performing the work.
Maintains a current knowledge and answers questions of other employees on procedures, policies, and written instructions such as work orders.
Distributes portions of the work in such a manner to keep everyone in the work crew productive.
Checks work while in progress, and when finished, to insure meeting the supervisors' requirements on work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines.
Urges or advises other employees to follow instructions received from supervisor.
Assures that safety and housekeeping rules are followed.
Informs the supervisor on the status and progress of work.
Answers the supervisors' questions on overall work operations and related problems.
