Barista - Overnight Shift

We’re passionate about coffee, and that means we pay a bit more for coffee in order to buy direct and create long-term, collaborative relationships with our producers that grow exceptional coffee.The starting wage for a Barista in Pasadena is $18.96/hr. There is an extensive training program and a new hire generally should become full-bar capable within 90 days. Baristas in our Los Angeles Coffeebars are part of the IBEW Local 1220 union. After a probationary period, employees are required to join the union and pay monthly dues.We’re serious about coffee and we provide comprehensive training so you can provide exceptional service and high-quality products. Our coffeebars are not open late night like most of the hospitality industry is. Operationally, adhere to policies, safety standards and protocols, and make suggestions for improving operationsPrepare and serve beverages that adhere to our freshness and quality standardsMaintain your coffee knowledge to educate and communicate with guestsEngage with all guests in a hospitable, sincere and friendly manner.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED is preferredSpeak and read English proficientlyDependable with good attendance and punctualityCan effectively communicate with othersAble to learn and master coffee tasting profiles and dial-insGood teamwork skillsAble to multi-task and work in a high-volume environmentPhysical Demands:The employee is regularly required to see, talk, and hearThe employee is required to stand, walk, and sit on a continual basis.
